报告人简介: Marcos Portabella was born on October 14, 1970 in Spain. He received the B.Sc. degree in Physics in 1994 from the University of Barcelona, Spain; the M.Sc. in Remote Sensing in 1995 from the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia, Spain; and the Ph.D. degree in Physics in 2002, from the University of Barcelona, Spain. He is currently leading the satellite winds group at the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC), Barcelona, Spain. His research interests are in active and passive microwave remote sensing. He is specialized in geophysical data interpretation, including calibration, forward modelling, measurement error modelling, non-linear inversion, quality control, and data assimilation. In particular, he is involved in scatterometry and microwave radiometry. Marcos Portabella is a member of several science working teams from NASA, ISRO, ESA, and EUMETSAT. In particular, he is a member of the ESA/EUMETSAT SCA Science Advisory Group (SAG) and the NASA/EUMETSAT International Ocean Vector Winds Science Team (IOVWST). He belongs to the steering committee of the Barcelona Expert Centre (BEC) and has been recently appointed as science team member of the Chinese Ocean Salinity mission.
