On July 15th to 18th, Professor Shin Xuanzai and two other experts of Chosun University visited the Biology Institute of Shandong Academy of Sciences. The academic communication was held in the morning of 16th, and the relevant leaders and researchers attended this meeting.
    A wonderful report about “resources of red algae and active substances” and “natural functional ingredients with anti-UV damage activity” was made by professor Shen. He summarized the cooperative project of “whitening active screening of antioxidants” and defined the type of compounds and corresponding evaluation index which would be researched emphatically next by the two sides. Besides, we reached a consensus with professor Shen to jointly declare the international cooperation project.
    In 2008, Chosun University began to collaborate with our institute. We expanded the areas of cooperation constantly, including the active screening of natural products. Scholars of both sides have been sent to exchange and study from each other for many times. Great progress was achieved in the personal training and the cooperation of scientific research.
